Fred Brown brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to sustainable agriculture as the General Manager of Akutan Pacific Cattle Company, LLC. Raised in a cattle ranching and timber producing family in Southern Oregon, Fred developed a lifelong passion for livestock and land stewardship. Despite transitioning to a successful legal career, Fred maintained his ties to his heritage by now owning and managing his family’s homestead and ranching operations. Now based in Alaska, Fred leads Akutan Pacific with a vision to blend traditional ranching and land management practices with innovative strategies to meet the unique needs of the Alaska and Pacific Northwest market and beyond. His leadership has been instrumental in securing Akutan Pacific’s SBA 8(a) certification, enabling the company to specialize in government contracting and expand into diverse markets such as cattle ranching, food wholesaling, and sustainable land, water and forest management. Fred’s unique background—a combination of hands-on ranching and timber experience and legal acumen —positions him to guide Akutan Pacific toward sustainable growth while honoring the mission of The Akutan Corporation. Under his leadership, Akutan Pacific is set to make a lasting impact on the economy and communities of Akutan and beyond.
